Tanzania's Samia Suluhu Hassan has become the only female president in Africa following the replacement of Ethiopia's Sahle-Work Zewde. Zewde, who served as Ethiopia's first female president since 2018, was replaced by former Foreign Minister Taye Astike Selassie after reportedly falling out with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
