The Tanzania Intelligence and Security Service (TISS) is reportedly on the verge of yet another Director General of Intelligence and Security (DGIS) change — one that, if confirmed, would constitute the fifth spy chief appointment under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s administration since March 2021, establishing a historically unprecedented pattern of leadership turbulence at Tanzania’s premier intelligence agency.
