The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has endured decades of instability, but recent years have witnessed a particularly alarming deterioration in its security situation. Brutal armed conflict, particularly in the eastern provinces, displaces millions, cripples infrastructure, and fuels a devastating humanitarian crisis.
